Wilfred Genee admits that he has blacklisted a number of people at Today Inside. It is obvious that one of them is Fidan Ekiz, who makes him sick as hell.
The men of Today Inside obviously have a veto when it comes to the guests who join their program. Johan Derksen has the most important voice, but Wilfred Genee also has some notes on his vocals. For example, he has blacklisted a number of people from the program.
Black list
Telegraaf journalist Wouter de Winther confronts Wilfred with it in the online section In The Walkways. “Do you have people blacklisted?”
Wilfred initially: “No, not at all.”
Wouter: “I hear that. That there are people you don’t want around.”
Then Wilfred admits: “Oh, yes, yes. That is indeed correct, yes.”
‘Who then?’
Wouter continues asking: “Who then?”
Wilfred evasively: “Eh, well there are a few, yes.”
Wouter: “Why don’t you want to say that?”
Wilfred then gives an answer that he himself as an interviewer would not be satisfied with: “Everything you pay attention to grows.”
Wouter: “Yes, but I think people are very curious now.”
‘Enlighten me’
Wilfred: “They know who that is, right?”
Wouter: “No, I don’t. Enlighten me.”
Wilfred: “Then I’m going to tell you like this.”
Wouter: “Yes, when the camera is off!”
Wilfred: “No, but no joke: everything that you pay attention to grows. In principle, there is hardly anyone who is on a blacklist here.”
Hate Fidan
It is very clear that it is in any case Fidan Ekiz. He has hated that woman for three years. In the summer of 2020, when he joined her at the Op1 talk show table, their good relationship came to an abrupt end. Until then, he taught her the tricks of the interview trade as a mentor.
Wilfred had a beef with his colleagues from Veronica Inside at the time because of the much-discussed racism special of the program and decided to tell his story once in Op1. Things really got out of hand: Wilfred started screaming hysterically at Fidan after the broadcast, causing even his wife to intervene.
