Stadspark Live was supposed to be the ‘Pinkpop of the North’, but is failing due to rising costs and insufficient growth. Are festivals with big names too expensive, or should they have a hefty price tag?

Making a margin at major events has become really difficult, says Mitchel Bovenlander of organization 4PM Entertainment. This means that festivals are disappearing everywhere in the country.

Solutions to the problems include making tickets more expensive or inviting lesser-known artists. But will there still be enough visitors with fewer big names?
