Darts star Darren Webster opened up properly on social media on Thursday.

Webster lost To Ron Meulenkamp 4–3, even though he was already in the lead. According to the Daily Mail Webster was visibly angry about his defeat and refused to shake Meulenkamp’s hand.

Webster, 55, still kept his mouth shut, but Meulenkamp mostly seemed amused by his opponent’s words.

– It’s played against a guy who farts and stinks and also denies it and throws slowly because he’s so shit. Good luck for the future, Webster said on his Facebook account.

Webster’s start to the Super Series has been sticky. The British thrower has lost three of his first four matches. He is last in the B group of the series.

According to Daily Mail, similar accusations have been made in darts before. Wesley Harms accused by Gary Anderson for spreading a foul odor during a match between the two in November 2018. Harms lost the match 2–10.

According to Harms, Anderson’s farting hindered his concentration.

– It smelled like rotten eggs. It was bad. He started to play better after that and I thought he just needed to vent, Harms said.

Anderson denied all the allegations.

– If that boy thinks I fart, he is 100% wrong. I swear to my kids it wasn’t me, Anderson defended himself at the press conference.

– If I fart at the throwing site, I’ll shit my pants. If I had farted and smelled it, I would have put my hand up and apologized that I had to go now, Anderson continued.
