Ana Benevides died last November at a Taylor Swift concert at the Nilton Santos Stadium in Rio de Janeiro.
The cause of death has now been determined. According to police, Benevides died of heatstroke.
Brazil had a record heat wave in November. At the time, the heat index in Rio, which combines temperature and humidity, was measured as 59.3 degrees Celsius.
The police report says that Benevides suffered from heat exhaustion, which led to heart, blood vessel and respiratory problems.
Benevides was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
He had no alcohol or drugs in his blood.
The organizers of the concert admitted that they should have done more for the fans, such as changing the start time of the concert or allowing the audience to take water bottles into the stadium.
Benevides died before the concert began.
Taylor Swift herself offered her condolences shortly after the death. He performed in Brazil six times, and invited Benevides family members to his last concert, who accepted the invitation.
