“When they finished they left and left her lying around,” her older sister recounted on the Planta Baixa program
a family of badalona has denounced the Mossos d’Esquadra a sexual assault in group suffered by a child under 11 years of age. The Central Unit for Minors, as advanced by the journalist Anna Punsí in the TV3 program Planta Baixa and confirmed by this newspaper, is investigating an attack allegedly committed by six adolescents, five of whom have already been identified.
As Punsí has detailed, three of the five identified are under 14 years of age and consequently are not prosecutable, which means that justice cannot act against them. The other two, who are over 14 but under 18, were arrested last February. One is on probation and the other, on which the most serious accusations weigh, is in a closed regime of the Ministry of Justice.
An older sister, interviewed on the aforementioned program, explained that the family found out what happened a month later, in mid-December. They found out when a third brother returned from the institute, assuring that he had been told in the center that a video was running in which his younger sister appeared. The girl then revealed how it had happened. She explained that one Saturday at noon, possibly November 19, she had gone alone to the Magic shopping center in Badalona, telling her mother that she was going alone to take a walk with her friends in the neighborhood.
At the Magic, while she was looking at clothes, she was accosted by a group of 6 teenagers who, at knifepoint, took her to the center’s bathroom and there sexually assaulted her. “When they finished, they left and left her lying around,” said the victim’s older sister. The minor also asserted that she had tried to explain what happened to a security guard but that he did not believe her.
Complaint
The family, who only then began to understand the days of more introversion that the girl had shown – being more locked in her room or being less jovial than usual – went to report the facts to a Mossos police station. “If I had magical powers I would like you to [su hermana pequeña] It was fine, it didn’t affect him. He has a life ahead of him. [Le gustaría también] that these people pay for what they have done, because it is horrible, violent, the product of a society that is unaware of what is happening,” he declared.

Punsí has also clarified that the Magic shopping center has not identified the alleged security guard who could have sounded the alarm minutes after what happened and also that the General Directorate for Child and Adolescent Care (DGAIA) has informed the three families of the unimputable minors what their children have done.
The investigation is still open because there is still an unidentified minor and the minor, who is being treated by pediatricians and psychologists from the Can Ruti Hospital, gave negative results in the tests that were performed to rule out that she had contracted an infectious disease during the sexual assault. . The school will meet this Thursday with the affected family.
