According to provisional data from Trànsit, with this victim there are 122 people who have died in traffic accidents in Catalonia
A man died in a head-on collision against an articulated truck on the N-340 road near Altafulla. The driver of the car, who was the only occupant of the vehicle, has lost his life at the time, while the driver of the truck has been treated by the team of psychologists from the Sistema d’Emergències Mèdiques (SEM).
The Mossos d’Esquadra have received the notice at 11:48 in the morning. 7 Mossos patrols, three Generalitat Fire Brigade crews, two SEM ambulances and the SEM psychologist service have been activated.

The road has been closed in both directions and signposted detours have been made until it reopened at 5:40 p.m.
