The reason for Niskanen’s absence was not announced, but after the 20-kilometer start race, the woman said that she fell ill on Thursday with a severe stomach bug.

Finland will enter the men’s competition with two teams. They belong to the first team Cross mat Hakola, Iivo Niskanen, Arsi Ruuskanen and Perttu Hyvärinen.
They ski in the second team Lauri Vuorinen, Markus Vuorela, Lauri Lepistö and Joni Mäki.
The women’s 4 x 7.5 km relay starts at 11:50. The men are sent to the track at 14:10.
