A difficult start at Kimi Räikkönen’s motocross team

Kimi Räikkönen driver of the Kawasaki plant team led by Ben Watson did not reach the top spot in the opening season of the motocross World Series in the UK.

Watson, 24, finished 11th in the first race of the weekend. In the time trial, the British were 19th. The Kawasaki drivers were overtaken by an Auschedist competing in the second team Jed Beaton.

The number one cannon in the stable, French Romain Febvre is on the sidelines of the season opening weekend due to injury. He won the 2015 Series Championship.

Another race will be run at Matterley Basin on Sunday.
