A criminal organization that he sent from Granada marijuana and hashish shipments since 2019 -hidden in trucks and motorhomes– Europe has been dismantled by the Civil GuardIn collaboration with Europolwith the arrest of 37 people and the seizure of 350 kilos of marijuana buds and 65 kilos of hashish. As reported this Sunday by the armed institutehave also been intervened firearms, high-end vehicles and more than 325,000 euros.
The so-called operation “Zadar” began as a result of information obtained by the Grenada Civil Guard in different interventions against drug trafficwhen they were detected common patterns and procedures in the drug shipments to Europe, led by a citizen of Eastern Europe. The investigators clarified that the criminal network had a cannabis growers network throughout this Andalusian province.
The different plantation managers proceeded to its cutting and transport to the different points of storage that the organization had, and detected four ways of supply different, so that each one of them had a middle boss in charge of a warehouse and to control various growers. Later, once the leader of the organization visited the “drug nurseries and selected the items based on the international client that acquired them, a lieutenant was in charge of give the orders to the intermediate bosses to carry the selected item from each warehouse to a charging point.
Then they organized the transportation in small quantities that oscillated between 40 and 60 kilos of packaged marijuana. To make it difficult to detect, each of the transports was planned with different “modus operandi” and charging points, making the police investigation even more difficult.
Main customers they were in Germany and, for their transportation, they used articulated trucks international freight transport or caravans faking a tourist activity, where they hid the drug in sophisticated double bottoms or camouflaged with legal cargo.
The exploitation phase of the operation coincided with a intercepted shipment at dawn on the A-44 motorway at the height of the municipality of old meadows, in Granada. The agents arrested one of the alleged perpetrators of the criminal group, in addition to seizing 57 kilos of marijuana and 22 kilos of hashish. After this first arrest and with the authorization of the Investigating Court 6 of Granada, 28 entries and records in real estate of 15 towns in Granada and another in Marbella (Málaga), with the participation of 300 civil guards.

During the operation, seized more than 350 kilos of buds of marijuana packaged and prepared for shipment, and several cultivation centers have been dismantled with the seizure of more than 3,300 cannabis plants. They managed to seize 14 firearms in perfect working order, two short weapons equipped with a silencer and 17 high-end vehicles. The agents dismantled a laboratory for the manufacture of hashish and seized 65 kilos of this substance.
One of the main detainees in the plot had a safe deposit box in a banking entity of the capital and, after its opening, intervention key documentation for the investigation of money laundering. This person ran a small grocery store and was building a home valued at more than half a million euros on which an investigation for laundering is being carried out, in addition to having carried out the preventive seizure of all the assets of the organization. The researchers believe that on a monthly basis the organization sent a little more than 100 kilos of drugs.
