A concert hall in Reus hid a marijuana plantation

Mossos of the police station Baix Camp-Priorat (Tarragona) arrested last August 3, in Reus, three men aged 28, 54 and 62, after the discovery of a marijuana plantation in a concert hall.

The arrests are the result of an investigation opened at the beginning of July as a result of information indicating that in a music room, active and open to the public, marijuana was being cultivated with the aggravating circumstance that there was a high risk of fire due to the concentration of hundreds of people on concert days.

During the investigation it was found that they used very powerful air conditioners that were always fully operational, which could be clearly seen from the outside.

Likewise, negotiations with the electricity supply company confirmed that reading on consumption was very highso this overexploitation of the line exposed the ship to a high risk of fire.

Given these facts and the different incriminating evidence, last Tuesday an entry and investigation was carried out in the investigated warehouse where the two people in charge of the room and a man who performed gardener tasks were arrested.

did not give off odor

In the registry they had to access the plantation, located on the top floor, by means of an elevator that was activated with a key and that it only stopped at one ranch, an area where the crop was.

The researchers were struck by the fact that the plantation was perfectly hidden and isolated, which is why it did not give off any type of odour. In addition, the system was very sophisticated to go unnoticed by customers and workers in the room.

The agents intervened 550 marijuana plants, an installation of 70 lights, numerous extractor fans and air conditioners.
