The trial on the gruesome murder of Roland Roelens (66) starts today before the assize court of West Flanders. But the main suspect is missing, because he died a few days after the facts themselves. On trial are: his wife, his daughter and a motorcycle friend. “We have hatched a plan to get rid of Roland,” the woman said in her interrogation. “My husband performed it. In his way.” What it was then becomes clear from the daughter’s statement. “Dad immediately started cutting. Everywhere. As much as he could.”
