Böckerman plans to build the house together with his Arttu partner.
Iltalehti reported in January that Bikini Fitness world champion and social media influencer Pernilla Böckerman, 23, has put her two-bedroom in Helsinki’s Taka-Töölö up for sale.
Böckerman said at the time that he dreams of a bigger apartment together Arttu– with his partner.
Now the couple’s shared dreams have changed a bit. They still dream of a common roof over their heads, but the dream is to build a house themselves.
Böckerman tells Iltalehte Fitness diaries– at the program’s press conference, that the couple has gone to look at possible land options. Their dream is to build a house near the capital region, more specifically in the West Uusimaa area.

Böckerman reveals that looking at plots takes some getting used to.
– I’m used to going to apartment screenings. In them, you can immediately see what the apartment looks like and you can list the pros and cons. Now I go to the plots and look at the trees. I can’t get a hold of it, Böckerman laughs at Iltalehte.
Böckerman says that his area of responsibility in construction is planning and decoration, and Artu is responsible for bureaucratic issues related to construction.
– I wouldn’t have imagined a couple of years ago that I would be building a house now, Böckerman reflects.
Böckerman currently owns an investment apartment in the popular residential area of Helsinki, Kallio. He laughs that the apartment must be kept in the future in case Metsämaisemat starts to haunt you in the future.
– This decision must be thought through very carefully, Böckerman states.
Relationship to test
Böckerman says that he and Artu understand that a construction project can test a relationship.
– We have an ideal situation in that this is a great passion of both of us. I believe that we won’t be in a crisis after this, but there will certainly be bumps in the road.

Böckerman continues, laughing, that he wouldn’t agree to go on a large detached house construction project with just any person.
– I wouldn’t necessarily go on this project even with my own mother! Yes, we are a good team with Artu, he adds.
According to Böckerman, the relationship with Artu is doing well. Everyday life is smooth and easy, but by no means boring.
– Of course we argue, as surely everyone does, but we don’t have a proper argument. I wouldn’t be able to handle that. I am very grateful for this life situation, Böckerman concludes.
