The Instagram account @soy_elbocreated by the animal’s owners and which already has more than 10,000 followers, became the center of an urgent search. There they publish updates and requests for collaboration to find Elbo, the cat lost during an Aerolíneas Argentinas flight.
According to the family, Elbo—adult, black and white, identified with a green heart-shaped medal—was traveling from Chaco to Bariloche on September 5, 2025 when, during the transfer, the kennel broke and the animal escaped at the Jorge Newbery Airport. They claim that the company does not give them answers and does not authorize rescuers to enter the internal area to track it.
The account reads: “The company ignores us and the days go by. This baby is alone in Aeroparque. They broke the kennel and he escaped. They don’t give us authorization for the rescuer to look for him. Help us tag the media”. They also released contact numbers and asked to tag journalists and organizations to make the case viral.
The episode generated solidarity between users and protectionists, who began to share the search. In the last hours, the owners received reports that Elbo had been seen in the Aeroparque area. Now they are redoubling the dissemination of the Instagram account in the hope that an airport worker will identify him and finally allow his rescue.
