Fulham’s Aleksandar Mitrovic has received an eight-match ban after the 28-year-old Serbian kicked the referee.
Mitrovic was tackled by the referee to Chris Kavanagh in a heated FA Cup match against Manchester United. The attacker shoved the whistle-blower who showed him the card, firing verbal attacks at the same time.
Mitrovic’s ban consists of three separate penalties. There will be a three-match ban for expulsion, another three for violent behavior and two more for inappropriate, insulting and threatening language.
In addition, Mitrovic was fined 75,000 pounds, or a good 85,000 euros.
Fulham coach Marco Silva received a two match suspension. He was also ordered to the dressing room during the match.
