A 17-year-old boy died this past Thursday, apparently by drowning, in a pool of Sarria (Álava) to which he had thrown himself to bathe.
The death, as confirmed by the Ertzaintza to Europa Press, occurred around half past five pm in a pond in the Alava town of Sarria.
The deceased, a 17-year-old from the Orduña juvenile center, had jumped into the pool to swimalthough he had to be extracted from it, practically without a pulse, by the firefighters.
Although the cause of death has not yet been officially confirmed, the Ertzaintza has explained that “Everything indicates” that the young man has lost his life by drowning.
