Harm Edens believes that Mattie Valk and Marieke Elsinga are suddenly very much down playing their radio. “I notice that they have been on large billboards again since then.”
It is an outright drama for Qmusic that Mattie Valk and Marieke Elsinga have been so incredibly arguing on the radio and that it was also picked up enormously by the show media, to make matters worse. The radio station mainly wants to radiate positivity and then it does not help if the stars of the channel are bickering in the morning show.
Downplay
Mattie thinks it is really super irritant that Marieke always talks about her baby in the show. The Radio DJ wants to talk more about things like Formula 1 and less about things like Poeplijiers. One commercial block after that argument Marieke confessed on the radio that they indeed had moth with each other: “We just had a really fight.” But now they deny that.
Presenter Harm Edens has the idea that they are very much at it now downplay are. “It strikes me that since then they suddenly enjoy ‘how nice here we are doing in the morning’ along the highway on those big billboards,” he says in the podcast This was the radio.
Charm offensive
Radio maker Arjan Snijders agrees with Harm. “Yes, a charm offensive everywhere.”
And colleague Ron Vergouwen: “Yes, exactly, because they also responded to Boulevard and Shownieuws.”
Arjan: “Meanwhile, Qmusic is about advertising money and you have to secure that all. Even though such a fight has been exhausted in the media, it must be downplayed again of course.”
Sour morning
Harm also does not exclude that Mattie and Marieke just had one bad morning with each other. “Maybe it’s not at all true and they are just very good friends and it was just a sour morning. Great, right?”
