IB Kamara resigned as editor -in -chief of Dazed after four years.

The last edition of the London fashion magazine published by the stylist and editor will be released in June, Dazed said on Tuesday in a posting on the Social Media platform Instagram. A successor has not yet been named.

Kamara, who has also worked as a Art & Image Director at Off-White since the death of Virgil Abloh, took over the editor-in-chief of Dazed in 2021. During his tenure, he regularly worked with emerging and still undiscovered talents and thus significantly shaped the careers of many stars today, according to the magazine. In addition, he campaigned for social issues-including women’s rights, LGBTQ+rights and indigenous rights as well as protests against police violence, headscarf bans and environmental disorders-and used the magazine as a “platform for social change”.

“It was a great honor for me to be among the creative minds of this iconic platform and now to be part of the renowned Dazed Alumni network, which continues to shape culture,” says Kamara. “I look forward to the future of the magazine and look forward to how the baton will be passed on and new doors are opened for the next generation of creative voices.”
