TO Selinunte (Trapani) The north door of the ancient city was discovered. The results of the excavations were illustrated this morning at the Antiquarium of the Archaeological Park, in the presence of the regional councilor Francesco Scarpinato. The excavations were conducted by the young archaeologists of “Archeofficina” under the scientific direction of Carlo Zoppi of the University of Eastern Piedmont.
In the light, portions of fortified walls were reported that closed the city from the north, and the door, from which the Sacra was passed towards the monumental necropolis outside the walls. The interviews with Professor Zoppi and the director of the Crescente Felice Archaeological Park. (NPK)
