At the Snowboard World Cup, it was not enough for Annika Morgan and Noah Viktor in slopestyle for placement among the top 3.

The German snowboarders in St. Moritz missed another surprise. After silver in the parallel giant slalom by Stefan Baumeister, Morgan and Viktor in the final of the slopestyle competition were without chance in the fight for the medals. Morgan finished seventh with changing clouds and strong wind (67.85 points), Vicktor became eighth (62.79).

Sadowski-Synnott not to be beaten by women

Gold for women went to Olympic champion Zoi Sadowski-Synott from New Zealand for the third time, who was the last starter to sit down with a strong second run (90.15) in front of the Japanese Kokomo Murase (87.02) and Reira Iwabuchi (83.55). In the men, Liam Brearley from Canada (90.15) surprisingly won ahead of Big Air Olympic champion Yiming SU (85.07) from China and 16-year-old Oliver Martin from the USA (78.98)-all three won a World Cup medal for the first time.

Morgan achieved a solid first run, in the second run she fell at the last jump and could not improve with it. At the World Cup in Georgia two years ago, the 23-year-old took sixth place. Viktor failed his first run, with a safety run in the second he climbed up from 15th place. The next decision of the snowboarders is the parallel slalom on Saturday.
