Masterchef english “The judge of the program Kim Mikkola has been heavily charged, reports Helsingin Sanomat.
HS has interviewed 18 Mikkola former colleagues from various restaurants. One of the interviewees is Mikkola’s former spouse, who has also worked in a restaurant.
Nine of them have said that they have experienced or proved that Mikkola had a gross, humiliated, shouting aggressively, or threateningly, even for manual use. One of the interviewees tells HS that Mikkola has called him “a whore or a whore”.
– As I was passing by, they pushed. Then they tried to comb. There was barking and fussing. They wanted to be a bit of a thing, the interviewee tells HS.
The alleged events take place in 2012-2020. Helsingin Sanomat reached Mikkola, who denies the claims. Mikkola admits that some have been able to see his behavior as a bully, but it has never been. He describes that the atmosphere of the top kitchen is generally “toxic”.
Kim Mikkola has worked in several top restaurants during her career. In 2018, Mikkola founded the Inari restaurant in Helsinki, which was awarded the Michelin star two years later.
Mikkola is currently working for the first time Masterchef english as a top judge.
