Demi van Geenen from Oss and her daughter Fae got the shock of their lives on Thursday morning when someone cycled against them at full speed. In addition, the four -month -old fae flew out of the pram. The cyclist drove away without mercy, but still reported to the family on Thursday evening. Demi’s husband says he had contact with the boy’s mother and that they ‘will solve it together correctly’.
The incident happened on the John F. Kennedybaan. Demi walked unsuspectingly with the pram when she was hit hard from behind. According to Demi, she walked on the edge of the wide path, but the boy blamed her and said she was getting in the way.
The images that Demi’s husband Wesley has received from acquaintances in the area shows how the cyclist gets together after the collision and falls his own things and cycles away. “He just leaves Demi,” says Wesley indignantly. “On the images you can see that he had something in his hand that his attention was drawn when he bumped into her. That must have been a phone,” he adds angry.
“She was thrown out of the pram. It went really fast.”
Wesley received an app from his wife just after the collision: “I was hit, call me.” “I honestly thought it would not be too bad, but when I called her and heard her panic, I was shocked.” Later he saw the images: “That was really intense, it was a very hard blow.”
Fortunately, mother and daughter are doing well now. “Fae has a scrap on her head. She is only four months old, so Demi went to the doctor like a spear,” says Wesley. Due to the blow, the baby fell out of the pram. “The doctor warned that she can have a concussion. We have to wake her up at night to check if everything is going well.”
Demi himself is only now starting to suffer from her injuries. “She is completely an exhibition, her knees are open,” says Wesley. “Demi has taken care of the biggest blow. It could have been much worse.”
Fortunately there was a passer -by who came to the rescue Demi. “A man stayed with her and took care of her,” says Wesley. “She was really completely in panic. That man stayed with her for a long time, but we don’t know who he is.” A woman also stopped to help.
The pram has suffered damage due to the blow. “But that is not even what it’s all about. An excuse, a bunch of flowers for my wife, that would be something.”
In the meantime, the couple has reported the police. “It is punishable to continue after an accident,” Wesley emphasizes.
Thursday evening soon after the publication of this article there was contact between Wesley and the boy’s mother.
