The Dutch financial contribution to the 800 billion euros that the EU will invest in Defense for the next four years will be discussed in the spring memorandum. That said Prime Minister Dick Schoof after the EU summit with government leaders where the strengthening of the EU defense was high on the agenda. He does not yet want to say whether the Netherlands will arrange extra defense expenditure through austerity and/or having the budget deficit run.
