She still remembers how much the technical innovations in the 90s brought for her and many other musicians: With a PC and corresponding software, music could be recorded with simple means, booking an expensive recording studio was no longer absolutely necessary. Nevertheless, record companies were much more important than today to have a chance to get into the charts-self-publishing platforms such as Spotify, YouTube and Soundcloud only revolutionized the market in the 2000s.
