The strike not only has an impact on commuters, but also in schools that were planning to take the train today, such as De Mandelbloesem primary school in Oostrozebeke. This morning the students from the sixth grade would leave for Durbuy on forest classes. But the train strike was compromised.
The school and the parent committee then quickly had to come up with an alternative: coaches, even if it costs a little more. “With the parent committee we have helped to find a solution so that the children can finish their forest classes. It is already the second time this has happened by a train strike,” says Wim Vancoppenolle.
