Due to international tensions, the Intelligence Services AIVD and MIVD again gained more information in 2024, reports the Assessment Committee on Powers (TIB) in its annual report. The supervisor received 30 percent more requests to use special powers than a year earlier. This includes, for example, listening to phones, placing cameras or microphones at someone’s home or draining internet traffic.
