A truck driver was seriously injured on Monday morning after he ended up against a tree with his truck in Waalwijk. The accident happened on the Zomerdijk. The blow was so hard that the cabin curled around the tree trunk. The driver was trapped and was taken seriously injured to the hospital.
The accident happened around half past eleven. The truck hit the road due to unknown cause and bumped into a tree. Among other things, two ambulances and a trauma helicopter came to the scene of the accident.
The driver had to be cut out of the cabin of his truck by the fire brigade. He was then rushed to the hospital.
A recovery company has taken the truck and cleaned up the packages with electronics, which were transported in the truck. The road was closed for some time.
