Nolte, who had already fetched silver in the Monobob, cheered after the final run, clenched the fists and fell into her family. It is her first World Cup title in two -way bobs – a success that she had set for these world championships. In the end, her lead over her German colleague Buckwitz was over half a second (+0.520), and the Bronzemedaille winner Buckwitz was even 1.460 seconds.

German dominance before the competition

The German trio had already dominated in training on Wednesday. Buckwitz, Nolte and Kalicki contested two runs – and they drove to the three top lengths in this order. Kalicki won the third run, which many athletes missed. The expectations have been confirmed: The DSV athletes could not be beaten on Saturday in the two-way bob.
