Munich’s footballers end up an important home win in the title race. In the summit against Wolfsburg, one player in particular turns up.
Led by the outstanding Pernille Harder, the FC Bayern soccer players won the prestiget duel against VfL Wolfsburg and consolidated the Bundesliga leakage with a thick exclamation mark. The team of coach Alexander Straus prevailed 3-1 (1-0) against the eternal rival on Friday. The leader is now six points ahead of the third -placed Wolfsburg women, who would have jumped to first place with a win.
“We are incredibly happy about victory. It was an intensive game,” said Munich’s Klara Bühl on the ZDF microphone: “The three points are incredibly important in the championship fight. We played into a flow.”
The former VfL striker Harder with her seasonal hits ten and eleven (13th minute/47th) and Lea Schüller (69th) scored the goals for the defending champion, Lineth Beerensteyn (75.) scored for the guests. The entire game for reading in the live ticker can be found here.
