SSV Ulm 1846 apparently separated from head coach Thomas Wörle. As the Pay TV broadcaster Sky reports on Tuesday evening, the table 17. the 2nd Bundesliga pulled the ripcord. For the time being, U19 coach Robert Lechleiter is to take over.
Last November, the Ulm club tour had extended the Wörle Treaty by two years to 2027. He took over the “Spatzen” in 2021 and sensationally led the club from the regional league to the German lower house. The goal was clearly defined in the current season: relegation. But after 25 match days, the promoted team is only in the penultimate place in the table (19 points).
Ulm only celebrated three wins in the current season, shared the points ten times and already lost twelve games. The second division team is currently missing four points to save themselves from the danger zone.
