THEThe President of the Republic, Sergio Mattarella, who arrived this morning in Hiroshima, laid a crown of flowers at the Memorial of Peace that recalls the explosion of the American atomic bomb on the city. Later he will meet the Association of Hiroshima survivors. The president will leave Japan tomorrow, Sunday 9 March, after a visit to the Shinto Sanctuary of Itsukushima.
