Europe gives car manufacturers “breathing space” to achieve CO2 objectives, now that electric vehicles sales are falling again

European car manufacturers receive two extra years to achieve the CO2 objectives. Ursula von der Leyen, chairman of the European Commission, reports this. It is an adjustment of its Green Deal climate policy. According to Von der Leyen, this change will give manufacturers more “breathing space”, but the objectives will not be reduced.
