At the Nordic Ski World Cup in Norway, the crisis-plagued German ski jumpers are required on Sunday (02.03.2025, 5 p.m.). Andreas Wellinger, Karl Geiger, Philipp Raimund and the weak Pius Paschke in Trondheim are not among the first medalists in Trondheim in the past few weeks. With three top ten places, however, they gave hope for a good result.
In particular, Wellinger, who had brought silver from the normal hill at the 2023 World Cup, confirmed his good training performance and the good shape with a jump to 105.5 meters and second place. When landing right he right, the jump had fit. The 29-year-old, as the greatest hope of the German Ski Association (DSV), is making the decision. Wellinger wants to confirm the result in the competition.
The qualifying victory went to the Norwegian Johann Andre Forfang. Fourth forces tour Daniel Tschofenig (Austria) finished third.
Geiger and Raimund surprise with a top ten result
Karl Geiger, bronze winner from Planica 2023, was able to surprise with a good flight. The Oberstdorfer certainly sailed through the qualification with its 101.5 meters and was the fifth in front of the Austrian co -favorites Stefan Kraft (101m/7th) and Jan Hörl (100m/8.).
Philipp Raimund would have been more in the jump. With his sentence at 100 meters, he still managed to move into the confidence in the competition on Sunday as a good tenth. For Pius Paschke, on the other hand, it was not quite as good. The 34-year-old landed after 92 meters, but still easily qualified than 30 ..
