After ski jumping, Germany was in third place. The team then played all the strength on the cross -country track. Only on the World Cup guards did not avoid violinists, crossbowers and Co.

The German combiners won the silver medal at the World Cup in Norway. Julian Schmid, Jenny Nowak, Nathalie Armbruster and Vinzenz Geiger only had to surrender to the superior Norwegians. Bronze won Austria. Norway had already run after ski jumping and then won a safe start-finish victory over 2×5 and 2×2.5 kilometers.

For the team of the German Ski Association (DSV), it was the second precious metal on the second day with medal decisions. Shortly before, Selina Friday had also won silver in ski jumping. Two years ago, the German quartet had brought World Cup silver behind Norway. In 2023 the mixed was the first to be in the World Cup program.

Schmid, Nowak, crossbow and violinist had laid the basis for their success on the hill. In third place and 28 seconds behind the leading Norwegians around exceptional skiers Jarl Magnus Riiber started Schmid in the cross -country skiing race.

In addition to Riiber, Gyda Westvold Hansen, Ida Marie Hagen and Jens Lurås AUSTEBRO were part of the Gold Quartet, which was at the finish line for over a minute. Japan was in second place after jumping, but was then overtaken by Schmid. Japan and Austria then made up the fight for third place among themselves in the otherwise less exciting race.

On Thursday, Novak had missed a medal in singles as fifth and crossbowers in sixth place. On Saturday (12 p.m. and 4 p.m./ZDF and Eurosport), the compact format is on the program for the men. Riiber is considered a top favorite, but Geiger and Schmid are likely to be among the strongest challenges.

Selina Friday had previously opened the German medal series on Friday. The ski jumper also won silver from the normal hill (you can read more about this here).
