The battered traditional costume provider Gössl will focus on a society in the future and unites its activities in it.
The company based in Salzburg has withdrawn the application for the renovation process of Gössl GmbH, Gössl confirmed at the request of Fashionunited. Several Austrian newspapers had previously reported after the creditors: Interior protection organization Alpenländische Bankerverband (AKV) informed about it. The areas of product development and production of the Gössl brand clothing collections, which belonged to Gössl GmbH, are now to be continued together with the trade under the roof of Gössl Gwand GmbH.
“The restructuring stipulates that we combine all functions in a society. This step has been planned for a long time, ”said Felix Gössl, brother of the managing director Maximilian Gössl, who is also active in the family company. “It was only open whether we do this in the course of the renovation procedures or only afterwards.”
Gössl Gwand GmbH: Refurbishment continues
In December, Gössl applied for renovation procedures without self -administration at the Salzburg District Court for the two companies. Gössl Gwand GmbH is still in a renovation process. The renovation plan is to be adopted on March 17th. The remaining 25 employees of Gössl GmbH are to be taken over.
“The simplification of the historically grown structures” wants to reduce its costs and slim down the administration, says Felix Gössl.
The bankruptcy of Gössl GmbH is due to the due position of loans and the recently disappointing sales development as a result of the changed buying behavior of the customer: inside. This also affected Gössl Gwand GmbH as a buyer and sales partner.
The shops of the Gössl brand are currently open as usual. Any closures are decided in the course of the renovation process.
