Bundesliga club Eintracht Frankfurt wants to keep his loan player Rasmus Kristensen beyond the season. The agreed purchase option is too expensive for the SGE, talks with the Danes’ regular club are pending.
Eintracht Frankfurt tinkers on a transfer bargain. As “Bild” reports, the Hessian Bundesliga club offers six million euros for right -back Rasmus Kristensen. The 27-year-old is currently loaned by Leeds United until the end of the season.
In order to firmly sign Kristensen, the SGE would only have to draw the agreed purchase option. With around 15 million euros, this is apparently too high for the Frankfurters. It is already certain that Eintracht will let the option pass in summer.
Finally, the report said, the discussions with the Leeds representatives were therefore intensified.
Kristensen hopes for whereabouts at Eintracht Frankfurt
Hope for a significantly reduced transfer fee is mainly because the player could put pressure on. According to “Bild”, Kristensen wants to switch solely to Eintracht Frankfurt, other clubs are out of the question. He feels comfortable in Frankfurt, which is also known to the bosses in England.
The 24-time international Denmark was hired by Leeds United for the 2022/23 season by RB Salzburg. At that time, 13 million euros were transferred. On the island, however, the right foot could not prevail sustainably, so a year later it was awarded to AS Rome. Last summer he went to the Bundesliga club on a loan.
In Leeds, Kristensen still has a contract until 2027. Since a buyer seems to have been found in Eintracht Frankfurt, the second division team could save the salary with a final farewell from the player and plan for the new season at an early stage.
At Eintracht Frankfurt, Rasmus Kristensen has so far been fully convincing this season. With 27 competitive players, he is one of the regular players under coach Dino Toppmöller.
