RKC Waalwijk is completely loose in the Eredivisie. The team of coach Henk Fraser was far too strong for NAC Breda on Sunday afternoon and convincingly won 5-0. Due to the third win in a row, the Waalwijkers arrive at three points of number sixteen Sparta Rotterdam. And so the RKC supporters believe in enforcement after a dramatic start of the season.
After the 2-0 win over rival Willem II and last week the 1-4 win at the same time Almere City FC, self-confidence at RKC Waalwijk had increased considerably. NAC noticed that on Sunday afternoon, because the first half was the team of coach Carl Hoefkens completely turned upside down. Richonell Margaret missed a big chance in the fourth minute, but three minutes later it was hit: 1-0.
RKC
The 2-0 of Yassin Oukili after a smooth running attack followed in the 14th minute and with that the storm did not lie down. It was also 3-0 within half an hour. A perfect pass from Mohamed Ihattaren was neatly headed in by striker Oskar Zawada. NAC was under heavy pressure and was lucky that the shot of the emerging Kevin Felida ended up next to the goal.
Hoefkens intervened in the break and brought Maxime Busi instead of the failing attacker Roy Kuijpers. The first fifteen minutes in the second half, the guests from Breda had a grip on the home team for the first time. Until the 59th minute, when Zawada left a large head opportunity unused.
Gallery Play
After a little more than an hour of play, something happened that had never been shown before this season at RKC Waalwijk. With a minute on Gallery Play And technical highlights NAC Breda was humiliated. The end of the attack was a failed ado of Zawada, but the home crowd enjoyed it.
Almost the visitors immediately punished the somewhat arrogant attitude, because Leo Sauer came face to face with goalkeeper Jeroen Houwen. His shot, however, went wrong through the post. A minute later it was almost 4-0, but Oukili shot just wide.
Efteling song
The fourth Waalwijk goal fell through Zawada in the 73rd minute. The striker that was dry for a long time, but now has an important role in Fraser’s team as a point of contact and nose for the goal. The DJ in the Mandemakers Stadium played an Efteling song after the 4-0 and that was actually suitable for the game. RKC Waalwijk imagined itself in a playground and had a wonderful afternoon.
Lots of points
With a four -time change, Fraser gave a number of strong holders a public change, but there was certainly no question of a weakening. An opportunity from substitute Richard van der Venne did not yet yield the 5-0, but shortly thereafter it was hit by a header by Chris Lokesa.
Due to the 5-0 win, the gap with number sixteen Sparta Rotterdam is only three points. NAC Breda is ninth with six points more than the Rotterdammers. There is absolutely no question of relegation stress in Breda, but this defeat will arrive hard.
