BVB consultant Matthias Sammer will no longer be used as a TV expert for the broadcasting streaming service Amazon Prime at the upcoming Champions League game of the Dortmund. This is what the “Bild” newspaper and the TV broadcaster Sky report.
According to the “Bild” newspaper, Sammer’s absence should go back to an ultimatum from BVB boss Lars Ricken, according to which Ricken Sammer forced a decision between his BVB consultant job and the TV expert job.
The background to Sammer is Sammer’s statements after BVB’s BVB’s Champions League bankruptcy at Bologna in January. At that time, Sammer found hard words in his role as TV expert. “The team is physically and mentally in a non-constitution,” he said, among other things, and thus further exacerbated the club’s crisis.
With his TV ban on BVB games, such statements should now belong to the past.
