56-year-old Hans H. from Schoonebeek who is stuck for the murder of his 53-year-old ex-partner Tonnie, is also suspected of mistreating the woman and one of their daughters. This happened a week before he stabbed the woman for the childcare in Hardenberg on 29 October.

H. did not appear on the first public session in Zwolle. The case has not yet been dealt with substantively. The man is staying at the infirmary of the penitentiary institution (PI) Haaglanden in Scheveningen. The lawyer did not want to say anything about his medical condition. H. injured himself at the end of October after the fatal attack on his wife. The man was then kept asleep for four days.

H. has not appeared before a judge once. Not before the examining magistrate, not before the council chamber. The judge punched the lawyer whether she knew whether H. is able to appear the next introductory session.

The counselor kept himself on the plain. The judge thought it was a shame that the suspect was not present, and said he was not happy with the ‘shadowy’ attitude of the lawyer. “I had the necessary questions for him.” The four daughters of the couple were present.

H. is being prosecuted for murder. According to the public prosecutor, H. consciously took a knife to the childcare, where Tonnie worked. He stabbed her when she came out. “This happened in broad daylight, on the public road. Many bystanders have witnessed this event,” said the prosecutor. She assumes that it did not happen on a whim.

The couple had had problems for a long time. The man therefore had a house ban, which still applied at the time of the stab incident.

The violation of that house ban has also been added to the list of allegations. H. is still being psychologically examined by a psychiatrist and a psychologist. “He is fully cooperating with this,” said his lawyer. The aim is that the reports of this are ready for the next non -substantive session on April 17. It is not yet known when the case will be dealt with in terms of content.
