The 2nd league offered tension until the end on Sunday. The HSV and Hannover 96 had a top game – but no winner emerged.

While a total of 22 goals in the 2nd league fell on Friday and Saturday, it was a bit quieter on Sunday. In the end, Hamburger SV and Hannover 96 separated with a 2-2.

The team of coach Merlin Polzin jumps to second place through the point. However, Cologne continues to lead the table. The 1. FC Kaiserslautern and Greuther Fürth were allowed to cheer. Lautern is now in fourth place in the table and is tied with the HSV and 1. FC Magdeburg.

Hamburger SV put pressure on the guests right from the start and had a good chance. No wonder that Silvan Hefti pushed in to 1-0 after a quarter of an hour on a presentation of Jean-Luc Dompé. Hanover tried afterwards, but opportunities were unsuccessful. After an hour of half an hour, the Hamburgers then had a huge option, but Adam Karabec, who stood freely in front of the goal, missed the ball – luck for the guests from Hanover. At halftime it remained 1-0 for the HSV.

In the second half, however, the guests were more awake and were able to achieve the connection through Nicolò Tresoldi to 1-1 (53.). And then Hanover suddenly turned the game when Rabbi Matondo scored 2-1 for the guests (79.). However, the joy only lasted briefly. Because Jean-Luc Dompé equalized in the 84th minute to 2: 2.

In the first half, the guests from Münster were superior. However, the team did not manage to meet the home side. And hardly after the beginning of the second half struck the guests through Marlon Ritter. He put the ball in the long corner and Münster’s goalkeeper Morten Behrens had no chance – the 1-0 for the hosts (51st).

But the team of Lautern’s ex-coach Sascha Hildmann could not be got down. And so David Kinsombi managed to equalize to 1-1 in the 79th minute. But the “red devil” struck back. Sirch made the winning gate 2-1 (90.+2nd) in added time in added time)

It didn’t start for SC Paderborn. After less than ten minutes, Calvin Brackelmann hit his head after a free kick. However, the gate was revoked after checking the video referee because the central defender was offside (9th). Twelve minutes later, the guests netted through a free kick from Branimir Hrgota (21st).

And it came even thicker for the hosts: in the 26th minute, Fürth’s Klaus got the arm of Paderborn’s goalkeeper Riemann. Referee Richard Hempel recognized the emergency brake and pulled out the red card directly. The game was over for Riemann.

And even in the second half, things didn’t go better for the hosts. Five minutes were played when Noah Loosli increased to 2-0 for Fürth (50th). But thanks to Adriano Grimaldi, the Paderborns came back a quarter of an hour later. The previously substituted Joker and striker scored a head for the connection goal – 1: 2 from the host’s point of view (63.).
