According to managing director Bert Mons of Voka West-Vlaanderen, this reform government does not come a day early. “The economy needs a captain on the ship and a reform -oriented course,” he says. Voka welcomes the plans to implement structural reforms in terms of activation, a more flexible labor market, the affordability of pensions and reduction of wage costs for employers and employees.

The ambitions to reduce regulatory pressure, to strengthen tax legal certainty and to stimulate sustainable investments are also seen as positive signals. “This forms a basis for structurally reforming our country, to remediate public finances and to make our companies more competitive and more productive,” says Mons.
