Around 7 a.m. this morning the two vehicles rode in front. Perhaps one of the two drivers off his lane, and thus bumped into the other vehicle. The damage to the car was huge, but as the 70-year-old driver suffered only minor injuries. He was able to leave the Verkenskelden car on his own, but was taken to the Veurne hospital as a precaution. The driver of the truck was not injured.
The fire brigade arrived on the spot to remove away debris from the road. Due to the accident there was also a hindrance between Veurne and Koksijde for a while.
