The day before the accident, the woman was still in the police court in Kortrijk due to driving under the influence of cocaine a few months earlier. Although she made a confused impression, she claimed that she was clean and waited for the results of urine tests. In that case, she was sentenced to a month of driving and a fine of 600 euros.
The ghost driver is also being investigated for her allocation. According to her lawyer, Pieterjan Dens, the woman was in a psychosis during the accident. “All experts agree that she was in a psychosis,” he says. “The fact that she may have taken voluntary drugs does not exclude inaccessibility.”
