Hamburger SV has again conquered the top of the 2nd Bundesliga in a turbulent top game. Top scorer Davie Selke (27th minute), Ransford-Yeboah Königsdorffer (60th) and Emir Sahiti (84th) provided the 3: 2 (1: 0) victory of the Hanseates at Hertha BSC.
For the Berliners there was no happy ending at the comeback of fan favorite Fabian Reese. With a lot of morality, the Berliners had almost shot the game in a spectacular final phase after a lot of idle through the goals of Michaël Cuisance (72nd) and Marten Winkler (80th). The HSV remains undefeated under coach Merlin Polzin. The promotion ranks are now seven points away for the Herthans, who had been winless Herthans since four league home games.
The Hamburgers went into the game unusually harmless. Hertha-Jungstar Ibrahim Maza was allowed to act with plenty of space and speed in the initial phase. The Berlin leadership should have brought his preparatory work for Palkó Dárdai (7th). A Hertha disease remains, however, not being able to capitalize on the joy of playing.
Then the hosts Selke allowed an avoidable header. The striker, massively whistled by the Hertha fans, cheered with a strange gesture of applause and appeasement towards the east curve.

Double bitter: Template Adam Karabec was able to flank from the right Berlin side, where regular players Jonjoe Kenny was missing for the first time this season. According to coach Cristian Fiél, the Englishman did not feel sufficiently operational given his desire to change to Sheffield United.
Ex-Herhaner Selke had to get out with a humming skull (54th) after a collision with Toni Leistner. His substitute Königsdorffer had a lot of space and time in his goal. Berlin jubilation came to the comeback of the long-injured Reese (66th). The big fan favorite also initiated Cuisances and Winkler’s goal. But the HSV had the last word.
