“It would be desirable for states to be able to invest their money in infrastructure, research, education or healthcare. But the reality is different. Therefore, the arms record is not a scandal. It is a consequence of the world situation. And it is also clear: arms exports are not good or bad per se. It depends on who gets which weapons. More than 60 percent of German weapons were delivered to Ukraine. One has to hope. that central conflicts arise But it doesn’t look like that. We have to expect that the record for German arms exports will be broken again in 2025.”/yyzz/DP/nas
