Fact check: facts and fiction intertwine during first speeches of the new president

Expectations were high for the inaugural speech of Donald Trump, who was sworn in as president of the United States for the second time on Monday. The informal speech after his swearing-in was also followed by fact-checkers from all over the world. They checked Trump’s statements for accuracy and their conclusions are not gentle: Trump – as expected – did not take the truth too closely.
