According to consistent media reports, Jamal Musiala is about to extend his contract with FC Bayern. A change of club was apparently not a serious issue for the German international.
FC Bayern will probably be able to rely on the services of Jamal Musiala in the coming years. According to “kicker”, the 21-year-old could sign a new working paper on Säbener Straße at the beginning of February.
Musiala is currently only tied to the Bundesliga leaders until 2026. As the specialist magazine further reports, a potential change for the attacking midfielder was “never up for debate”. It goes on to say that FC Bayern was always the “first and only point of contact”.
Musiala with an exit clause at FC Bayern in the future?
The people of Munich want to make Musiala their face of the future. The youngster could receive an exit clause in the event of an extension, according to the “kicker”. This should be staggered and amount to 175 million euros two years before the end of the contract, and an estimated 100 million euros before the last year of the contract, as “Bild” recently reported.
Musiala’s extension at FC Bayern has not yet been finalized. There are still “a few details to be clarified, especially of a legal nature,” writes the “kicker”.
Sports director Max Eberl didn’t want to say much about the contract talks with Musiala and Co. around the Bundesliga home game against VfL Wolfsburg (3:2) on Saturday.
Musiala starts at FC Bayern
Musiala moved from Chelsea FC’s youth department to Munich in 2019. The creative player subsequently celebrated his big breakthrough on the Isar.
Musiala has now become an integral part of the FC Bayern team. The DFB star has already contributed 14 goals in 24 appearances across all competitions this season. No wonder that FC Bayern is hoping for a contract to be signed soon. According to “Bild”, Musiala could probably sign for five years.
