The Sandro brand, which belongs to the French fashion group SMCP, has continued its international expansion course. On Thursday, the apparel retailer announced that it has opened the first Sandro store in India together with its local distribution partner Reliance Brands Limited.

The label chose the metropolis of Mumbai as its location. There it now offers its current collections in an area of around 150 square meters in the Jio World Drive shopping center.

The new opening in India “paves the way for broader expansion in South Asia,” the company said. The first Sandro store in the Philippines is scheduled to open shortly. Last year, the label entered the markets in Egypt, Indonesia, Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan.
