What if Arsenal were the solution to Juve’s Vlahovic problem? Having solved their problems in attack with Kolo Muani, the Bianconeri could accept a monstrous offer for the Serbian. And this is where the Gunners come into play, who are increasingly in need of a centre-forward and who have had Dusan among the names they have been keeping an eye on for some time. Transforming this interest into something concrete, however, is much more difficult than it seems. Here’s why.

At Continassa Vlahovic also trained alone on the day of rest granted by Thiago Motta after the trip to Bergamo: the attacker has Milan in his sights but it will depend above all on the results he will have on the pitch in the next few hours. The transfer rumors are not distracting him for the moment but his position is decidedly less stable than last summer. The relationship with Thiago Motta has not taken off and the structure of his contract with Juve, which will see him earn 10 and a half million this season and 12 next season, puts more pressure on him than his teammates have to handle. In the summer of 2023 Vlahovic had put his foot down and removed the possibility of his transfer to Chelsea, this time there is Arsenal and – despite his ambition to win trophies with Juve and make sure to rightfully enter history of the Juventus club – faced with a convincing offer the scenario could easily change. The other paths hypothesized so far have not evolved: just like the discussions on the renewal, after the black smoke at the end of October and the new summit with Juventus set for spring. The club, however, remains on the sidelines immediately, because without that renewal it will have less negotiating power next summer and perhaps no longer the possibility of monetizing the exit well. Vlahovic currently has a balance sheet of around thirty million, at Continassa they hope to earn at least double that

The injury to Gabriel Jesus, out for the rest of the season with a cruciate cruciate tear in his left knee, has increased the belief that Arsenal need a centre-forward to be truly competitive. If last season and the start of this one had made us believe that Kai Havertz was the right solution, in a situation of cooperative attack where the goals are shared, the team’s difficulties in scoring despite the enormous amount of play created in this season and injuries have brought the center forward problem back to light. And the name of Vlahovic, which the Gunners had already considered a few years ago. The Serbian, however, is not the perfect man for Arteta: a more mobile centre-forward would be needed, one who throws it in when needed but facilitates the insertion of midfielders and attacking wingers. The company also has some reservations, especially about the investment required. However, Vlahovic is available, he is 24 years old so he is within the age range of the main players in the Arsenal squad, and he still scores goals (11 between the championship and Champions League). A loan would be the best solution for Arsenal, thus giving time to understand whether Vlahovic is really the right centre-forward, but without redemption obligations. Will it be enough for Juventus?
