Strong increase in flu cases in Belgium, pressure on general practitioners is increasing

The number of flu cases in Belgium increased sharply in the second week of January. This is evident from the weekly report from the Sciensano health institute. In the second week of the year, around 77,000 Belgians visited their GP with flu-like complaints. Six in ten general practitioners experience a (very) high workload.
