Last night the temperature dropped to two degrees below zero in many places in the province. The KNMI warned this morning therefore for code yellow, due to slippery roads due to freezing.
Today the temperature is rising, but it will not be warmer than about five degrees. NH weatherman Jan Visser warns about the frozen lakes and streams: there will be a thin layer of frozen water, but you absolutely cannot stand on it.
Drizzle
There is also a chance of frost next night, but that ice-cold temperature will not last. A high-pressure area from Normandy will bring humid air in this direction, which could cause drizzle tomorrow.
Towards the weekend the temperature will drop again and it may freeze again at night. Visser predicts a dry and quiet weekend.
